Dr. Rizzolo, who specializes in back and spine, recently performed a laminectomy for decompression at the hospital. He will be traveling to the Libby facility two Fridays each month so the hospital can offer spinal specialty to local residents.
Dr. Rizzolo mainly practices out of Flathead Orthopedics in Kalispell, but he also performs surgery at four other facilities now, including St. John’s.
He received his medical training from New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his internship at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia and his residency in orthopedic surgery from Thomas Jefferson University Affiliated Hospitals in Philadelphia. Dr. Rizzolo also completed a fellowship in spine surgery from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
