Zimmer Biomet unveils Vault Reconstruction System: 3 quick points

Warsaw, Ind.-based Zimmer Biomet introduced its Comprehensive Vault Reconstruction System, according to Street Insider.

1. The Comprehensive Vault Reconstruction System is a patient-unique glenoid implant for patients with a deficient rotator cuff and bone loss.

 

2. The system utilizes CT imaging and 3-D reconstruction techniques to customize the implant to the patient.

 

3. Stephen Brockmeier, MD, implanted the first VRS on Sept. 21, 2016, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
