Zimmer Biomet releases Subchondroplasty Procedure on international scale: 5 notes

Warsaw, Ind.-based Zimmer Biomet released the Subchondroplasty Procedure on the international platform.

1. Zimmer Biomet recently earned the CE Mark for the procedure.

 

2. A minimally invasive procedure, the SCP procedure is intended to deal with defects caused by subchondral bone marrow lesions.

 

3. The SCP procedure fills bone marrow lesions with AccuFill Bone Substitute Material, which is resorbed and replaced by healthy bone.

 

4. Providers often perform the SCP procedure with arthroscopy.

 

5. Surgeons have performed the procedure in the knee, foot, ankle and hip.
