Here are four things to know:

1. The Mobi-C Cervical Disc is designed to restore and maintain a patient’s healthy disc height and range of motion.

2. The first Mobi-C surgery in Japan was performed in July.

3. Comprised of a cobalt chromium alloy, the Mobi-C is a polyethylene mobile-bearing prosthesis designed for single step insertion. It does not require bone chiseling to support vertebral anchorage.

4. The prosthesis is designed to reconstruct the disc from C3 to C7 after discectomy at one or two contiguous levels for intractable radiculopathy.
