Mr. Tornos will continue his role as group president while working in the newly created role, according to a March 19 news release. His new role includes overseeing global business and leading global operations. He also has oversight of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Mr. Tornos joined Zimmer Biomet in November 2018 as group president of orthopedics and was named group president of global business and the Americas a year later.
Zimmer Biomet also announced the departure of Didier Delort, president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
