Zimmer Biomet employees to hold walk-out: 4 observations

Zimmer Biomet employees in Shannon, Ireland, are considering organizing a walk-off March 20, according to The Clare Champion.

Here are four observations:

 

1. Workers were disappointed with their bonuses. They have been expressing dissatisfaction with bonuses for the past few years.

 

2. Typically employees received on average a $1,234.08 bonus. However, this year employees are possibly receiving $617.04 or less.

 

3. Employees also expressed complaints about the conditions at the plant. Recently, the site has seen a high turnover rate.

 

4. There are roughly 400 employees at the Zimmer Biomet location; however, many are contract or temporary employees who are unlikely to join in the walk-out.
