Zimmer Biomet donates PPE to Irish rehab facility

Zimmer Biomet recently donated personal protective equipment to the rehabilitation unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Ennis, Ireland, The Clare Herald reports.

Three things to know:

1. Zimmer Biomet has three manufacturing facilities in Ireland and is one of the biggest employers in Clare, according to Claude Costelloe, general manager of Zimmer Biomet Ireland’s manufacturing facilities.

2. The company projects first-quarter revenues to decrease about 10 percent and is expecting COVID-19 to negatively affect its second-quarter revenues.

3. Zimmer Biomet CEO Bryan Hanson is temporarily forgoing his salary, and several executives have had their compensation reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
