Zimmer Awarded 5 New Patents for Joint Preservation Procedure

Zimmer announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued five new patents directed to its Subchondroplasty Procedure — a new joint preservation procedure.

The Subchondroplasty Procedure is a percutaneous outpatient intervention that addresses the defects associated with subchondral bone marrow lesions, which are related to stress fractures or micro-fractures. It is a minimally invasive and arthroscopically assisted procedure.

 

Zimmer designs, manufactures and markets orthopedic reconstructive, spinal and trauma devices, dental implants and related surgical products.
