Mr. Major succeeds Zavation’s founder Jeffrey Johnson, according to a Dec. 5 news release. Mr. Johnson will remain executive chair of the company’s board of directors.
Mr. Major has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and co-founded K2M. He was COO and chief strategy officer of K2M until it was acquired by Stryker in 2018. Then he led Stryker’s spine division as vice president and general manager.
Zavation was founded in 2012 and commercialized more than 25 product families.
