Zavation Medical launches expandable cage

Spinal implant developer Zavation Medical Products on May 26 launched eZspand, an expandable lumbar interbody fusion device, Biospace reports.

Three things to know:

1. The eZspand cage is designed to improve structural stability and sagittal balance.

2. The device does not require locking and can be expanded to generate a large graft window to facilitate fusion.

3. The eZspand portfolio is indicated for spinal fusion procedures with autogenous bone graft in skeletally mature patients.
