Xtant Medical receives FDA clearance for demineralized bone matrix putty: 4 observations

Xtant Medical’s wholly owned subsidiary Bacterin has received FDA 510(k) clearance of its OsteoSelect PLUS Demineralized Bone Matrix Putty.

Here are four observations:

 

1. OsteoSelect PLUS is a next-generation DBM putty and is comprised of OsteoSelect Putty with demineralized cortical chips.

 

2. Xtant Medical is prepared to launch OsteoSelect PLUS to customers in the fourth quarter of 2015.

 

3. This is the first 510(k) approval for Bacterin since becoming a subsidiary of Xtant Medical.

 

4. Xtant Medical develops and markets regenerative medicine products and medical devices for a number of markets, including orthopedics and neurology.
