Wright Medical Sells Off OrthoRecon Business to MicroPort Scientific

Memphis, Tenn.-based Wright Medical Group has divested its OrthoRecon business to MicroPort Scientific as of Jan. 9.

The sale will allow Wright Medical to focus its attention and resources on extremities and biologics, growing both areas in international markets.

The financials of the deal will be disclosed with Wright’s fourth quarter financial reporters in February.
