1. Robot manufacturers are marketing their technology as a way to empower surgeons, not replace them.

 

2. Surgeons will most likely be interested if robots complete repetitive tasks during multi-hour surgeries.

 

3. Mazor Robotics’ mission is to add value, but incremental value. For example, the company’s technology will guide surgeons where to insert screws, but will stop short of actually drilling.

 

4. Surgeons want to feel in control during surgeries.
