Wenzel Spine releases VariLift-LX System: 5 things to know

Austin, Texas-based Wenzel Spine launched a limited release of its VariLift-LX System.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Adam Lewis, MD, of Jackson (Miss.) Neurosurgery Clinic, performed the first case with the VariLift-LX System.

 

2. The VariLift-LX is designed for lumbar fusion procedures.

 

3. With the system, surgeons can implant a device optimizing fit within the disc space.

 

4. The system is offered in two lengths and five heights.

 

5. Wenzel Spine plans to fully launch the system in spring 2016.

 

“This is a game changer for outpatient fusion procedures,” said Dr. Lewis. “The VariLift-LX System provides spine surgeons the technology and technique to move more fusion cases to an outpatient setting.”
