Vizr Tech startup providing surgeons with visual reminders during surgery: 5 observations

Chicago startup Vizr Tech designed software that reminds surgeons of the small details during surgery, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Here are five observations:

 

1. The Visual Information Zonal Reminder software is compatible with Google Glass, tablets and monitors.

 

2. The software provides surgeons with surgery steps, such as information regarding preop or timing processes.

 

3. Richard Buchler, Vizry Tech’s president and CEO, and Alex Guerrero, MD, co-founded the company in 2014.

 

4. Two hospitals in the Allegheny Health Network, based in Pittsburgh, are using the software.

 

5. The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine’s Graham Clinical Performance Center will conduct a pilot stuffy of the software with Google Glass in December.
