The first clinical cases using VB Spine’s Vulcan Spinal System have been completed, marking the start of the system’s limited market release.
Surgeons at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., performed three procedures with the system over two days in February, according to a March 10 news release from VB Spine.
The Vulcan Spinal System is designed for thoracolumbar fixation and supports fixation strength, surgical precision and procedural efficiency.
During the limited market release, the company will focus on gathering clinical feedback, supporting surgeon adoption and ensuring operational readiness before the full commercial launch.
The system is approved by the FDA for sale in the U.S., the release said.
