VB Spine acquired exclusive rights to Augmedics’ CT-to-fluoroscopy technology for spine applications and will integrate the technology into its xvision Spine System platform.
The CT-Fluoro technology uses a patient’s preoperative CT scan with fluoroscopic images from a standard 2D C-arm to support augmented reality during spine procedures, according to a news release from VB Spine.
The technology adds a registration method to xvision that expands the imaging options available to surgeons.
The deal follows two FDA 510(k) clearances for VB Spine in July that expanded indications for its Vitoss Bone Graft Substitute and interbody cage portfolio.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
