Ulrich Medical USA earns FDA clearance for 3D-printed interbody device

Ulrich Medical USA’s Flux-C 3D-printed cervical interbody device earned FDA 510(k) approval, the devicemaker said Oct. 14.

Flux-C is made with 3D-printed porous titanium and is available in multiple parallel and lordotic options and various heights, according to a news release. The device is designed with a large graft window and a side window for radiographic imaging.

“Surgeons have many options for cervical interbodies,” Patrick Maloney, MD, a member of Ulrich Medical USA’s surgeon advisory board, said in the release. “The Flux-C porous titanium device offers one of the best in class with superior endplate contact and spaces for generous inter-device bone grafting. It is a welcomed complement to their superior array of expandable cages.”
