According to the company, it acts like a drywall anchor and improves screw fixation in spine surgeries and revision cases. It’s made from demineralized cortical bone fibers.

Frank Phillips, MD, a surgeon at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center has used the Fiber Anchor in several cases.

“This technology adds immense value in revision surgery as well as in longer deformity constructs where loss of hardware fixation and resultant failure of fusion is a significant concern,” he said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
