SurGenTec has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement for Allevion Medical’s Vantage spinal decompression technology.
The agreement gives SurGenTec exclusive rights to Vantage, a disposable, sterile system designed for minimally invasive procedures to treat lumbar spinal stenosis, according to an Oct. 8 news release.
The system is designed to allow physicians to perform a laminotomy or laminectomy to remove excess bone contributing to spinal canal narrowing. It uses integrated illumination to provide direct visualization of anatomical structures during the procedure.
Vantage also features instruments designed to control the depth of bone removal and protective guards intended to reduce the risk of damage to surrounding structures.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
