Stryker’s orthopedic sales rise 8.5% in Q2: 6 notes

Stryker saw an 8.5% year-over-year increase in net sales during the second quarter of 2024, according to financial results posted July 30.

Six things to know:

1. Net sales were $5.4 billion. The company’s medsurg and neurotechnology segment saw $3.1 billion in sales, an 9% increase year-over-year. 

2. Orthopedic and spine sales grew 7.9% year-over-year with $2.3 billion in sales.

3. Hip sales were $428 million, a 8.9% increase year-over-year. Knee sales were $602 million, a 7.1% increase year-over-year.

4. Trauma and extremity sales were $832 million, a 8.6% increase year-over-year.

5. Spine sales were $307 million, a 3.8% increase year-over-year.

6. Stryker’s net earnings of $825 million represent an 11.8% increase from the same time in 2023.
