Stryker’s president and COO to step down in October

Timothy Scannell, president and COO of Stryker, will retire in 2023, according to an Aug. 18 news release.

Mr. Scannell will step down as president and COO Oct. 1 an serve as an adviser to CEO Kevin Lobo. His duties will be spread between group presidents Andrew Pierce and Spencer Stiles. He’ll retire March 31, 2023.

Mr. Scannell joined Stryker in 1990 as part of the endoscopy business. He was named president and COO in 2018.

“Tim has led teams to excellent performance over time and has been a champion of growth and talent throughout his career,” Mr. Lobo said. “He embodies our mission and values, and we are grateful for his leadership and impressive results.”
