Stryker Q3 net sales up 1.3%, spine sales jump 5%: 7 key notes

Stryker’s net sales were up slightly in the third quarter of 2015.

Here are seven key facts:

 

1. The consolidated net sales were $2.4 billion in the third quarter, a 1.3 percent increase. The net sales were negatively impacted by 4.6 percent due to the impact of foreign currency exchange rates.

 

2. The orthopedic net sales reached $1 billion, up 0.3 percent over the same period last year.

 

3. Stryker’s medsurg net sales were up 0.6 percent to $943 million.

 

4. The neurotechnology and spine sales jumped 5 percent to $458 million in the third quarter.

 

5. Full year sales are expected to grow 6.5 percent to 7.5 percent including organic sales growth.

 

6. Adjusted diluted net earnings per share are expected to reach $5.07 to $5.12 for the full year.

 

7. The United States sales were up 7.8 percent, reported at $1.7 billion. International sales were down 12.6 percent to $664 million.
