Stryker Launches Two Orthopedic Surgeon iPad Applications

Stryker recently launched the company’s first iPad applications for surgeons to help them enhance the patient education process and provide information about products and surgical techniques, according to a company news release.

The Stryker Flipchart application is a patient education tool designed to help orthopedic surgeons explain a hip, knee or shoulder replacement procedure and includes overviews of a normal joint, arthritic joint and replacement joint using graphics and X-Rays. Surgeons are able to customize and annotate the images.

OpTech Live application is a guide to Stryker Orthopaedics’ surgical protocols with a touch screen interface. It includes information about many of Stryker’s orthopedic products.
