The new facility, the Customer Experience Center, includes an “Operating Room of the Future” with the Microsoft HoloLens, a self-contained holographic computer. The HoloLens is designed to show Stryker’s surgical capabilities in real time based on the OR display. Surgeons, hospital administrators and CEOs can use hand gestures to move, turn and manipulate the equipment in the virtual OR.
Healthcare professionals can use the technology to optimize their layout and ensure the surgeons and staff members are comfortable, safe and able to perform their jobs efficiently.
At the opening, attendees were able to see the Mako Robotic-Arm assisted surgery system, interview thought leaders and interact with the MultiTaction media wall in addition to learning more about the HoloLens device.
