Stryker completes acquisition of AI company

Stryker completed its acquisition of care.ai, a virtual care company, according to a Sept. 17 news release.

The acquisition will bolster Stryker’s healthcare IT offerings and its wireless medical device portfolio. Care.ai develops artificial intelligence-assisted virtual care workflows and smart room technology. 

Stryker’s deal was first announced in August. The companies will operate as separate entities, and terms of the sale weren’t shared.
