Stimwave names Dr. Konstantin Slavin to medical advisory board, Jim Surek as chief commercialization officer: 5 notes

Stimwave named Jim Surek its first chief commercial officer and appointed Konstantin Slavin, MD, to its medical board of advisors.

1. Stimwave develops the Freedom Spinal Cord Stimulation System and StimQ Peripheral Nerve Stimulator System for chronic pain management.

 

2. Equipped with 25 years of industry experience, Mr. Surek jumpstarted his career as a spinal implant sales representative for Medtronic.

 

3. Mr. Surek eventually became the first vice president of sales at Advanced Bionics, which Boston Scientific later purchased. Most recently, Mr. Surek served as Entellus Medical’s vice president of sales; Stryker acquired Entellus in December.

 

4. Dr. Slavin is a neurosurgery professor at University of Illinois at Chicago.

 

5. A past president of the American Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, Dr. Slavin serves as a director at large for the International Neuromodulation Society.
