St. Mary’s Medical Center implements Mazor Robotics surgical system: 3 observations

St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco has implemented Mazor Robotics’ Renaissance Guidance System, according to an ABC 7 News report.

1. The system can be used in a number of spinal procedures, including open, minimally invasive and percutaneous posterior thoracolumbar approaches, as well as scoliosis and other complex spinal deformity procedures.

 

2. The technology has allowed the spine team at St. Mary’s Medical Center to perform procedures with more control and precision.

 

3. Mazor Robotics, founded in 2001, focuses on developing technology for spine surgery.
