SpineGuard completes 1st cases with pedicle screw sensory system

Medical device company SpineGuard has completed the first procedures with its DSG Connect system, according to a June 29 announcement.

Three things to know:

1. DSG Connect allows the collection and visualization of the signal measured at the tip of devices during pedicle drilling.

2. The system is equipped with recording capabilities to store intraoperative data.

2. Neurosurgeon Richard Assaker, MD, performed the first surgeries at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Lille in France.
