Holo Portal is the first surgical guidance system to incorporate both artificial intelligence and augmented reality. The AI processes intraoperative images, and the AR overlays images during surgery to help surgeons visualize trajectories.
“My first case was seamless — easy to set up, and the crisp holographic image facilitated precise screw positioning, increasing my confidence in the system,” Dr. St. Clair, of Lima-based Orthopaedic Institute of Ohio said in a news release from Surgalign.
Holo Portal debuted in Indiana in May.
