Spine specialist Dr. Scott Kelly named CytoDyn’s CMO, head of business development

Biotechnology company CytoDyn appointed Scott Kelly, MD, as CMO and head of business development on April 13.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Kelly specializes in nonsurgical spine care and has served as director of the spine center at Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics since 2007.

2. Since 2017, he has operated as a director at CytoDyn and will continue his role as chairman of the board.

3. CytoDyn is enrolling patients in two COVID-19 clinical trials: one for people with mild-to-moderate symptoms and another for those in critical condition.
