Spine Align secures angel investment for visualization system

Angel investor group Rockies Venture Club has invested in 10 startup companies this summer, including Baltimore-based medical device company Spine Align.

Three things to know:

1. Spine Align is developing a visualization and assessment system to create 3D images of intraoperative spinal alignment with minimal disruption to the surgical workflow.

2. Rockies Venture Club recently led an oversubscribed seed round for the company.

3. Spine Align’s team includes Nicholas Theodore, MD, director of neurosurgical spine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and Daniel Sciubba, MD, director of spinal deformity surgery at the hospital.
