The patented devices include one for mending wrist fractures and another for broken collar bones. The devices can be placed through a small incision into the hollow cavity inside the bone, which means casting isn’t immediately necessary and the patient can begin physical therapy immediately after the device is implanted.

The company is now developing a similar device for mid-shaft humerous fracture care, which is expected to launch in 2011.
