1. About 50 new jobs will come out of the new headquarters.
2. The new headquarters will consolidate the company’s St. Petersburg, Fla., and Fort Worth locations.
3. The new facility will be 55,000 square feet and cost $35 million.
4. After acquiring Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, an advanced wound management company, in 2012, Smith & Nephew decided the new headquarters would focus on commercialization for the Advanced Wound Management division.
5. Smith & Nephew received a $250,000 tax abatement incentive from the city of Forth Worth per the consolidation agreement.
