Here are five things to know:
1. The transaction is expected to close within three days after the merger between Zimmer and Biomet closes. The Zimmer/Biomet merger completed today.
2. The Zimmer Unicondylar Knee system was introduced globally in 2004 and is proven in the literature.
3. Smith & Nephew purchased all existing inventory and certain intellectual property for the U.S. market on Zimmer’s Unicondylar Knee system.
4. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
