Smith & Nephew Seeks UK Approval for Bone Device

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence in the U.K. is opening public comment on the use of Smith & Nephew’s Exogen bone-healing device, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report.

NICE makes recommendations to the government-run National Health Service on the cost-effectiveness of drugs or medical devices. NHS, in turn, uses these recommendations to decide whether to pay for use of these instruments.
