Smith & Nephew name Robin Freestone as non-executive director: 4 notes

Smith & Nephew, a global medical technology business, appointed Robin Freestone to its board as non-executive director and member of the audit committee.

3. The board of Moneysupermarket.com Group welcomes Mr. Freestone as non-executive director on Aug. 1, 2015.

 

4. Previously, Mr. Freestone worked as deputy chief financial officer at Pearson, and held other senior financial positions at Amersham, Henkel and ICI.

 

5. Mr. Freestone graduated from Manchester University with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

 

“Mr. Robin is a well-regarded FTSE 100 CFO who has been heavily involved with the transformation and diversification of Pearson,” said Roberto Quarta, chairman of Smith & Nephew.
