Smith+Nephew meniscal repair device hits European market

Smith+Nephew on Sept. 2 launched its Novostitch Pro meniscal repair system in Europe.

Three things to know:

1. Novostitch is designed for access and safety in tight knee joints.

2. The device helps surgeons repair meniscal tears without removing the meniscus.

3. Novostitch features a curved upper jaw and blunt tip to improve maneuverability and an intra-articular needle that deflects away from the thigh bone to minimize the risk of cartilage injury.
