Smith & Nephew Joins Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health to Launch Region’s First Diabetic Foot Academy

Smith & Nephew has partnered with the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health to establish the region’s first Diabetic Foot Academy to be held in Jeddah, according to a news release.

The comprehensive three-day program comprises lectures and workshops on the advanced management of lower limb lesions in diabetic patients. The DFA will be led by Gerit D. Mulder, DPM, director of the Wound Treatment and Research Center at the University of California San Diego and chaired by Khaled A. Abdulrahman Tayeb, director of the Diabetes & Endocrinology Center at Al Nour Specialist Hospital.
