The company, which develops antimicrobial implants and medical devices to address surgical site and hospital-acquired infections, now has three patents that cover substrates such as surgical meshes and sutures, and also orthopedic devices like screws and large-joint implants.
The company’s first product is a cannulated bone screw that aims to reduce microbial contamination for orthopedic reduction and internal fixation procedures. It is awaiting regulatory approval.
