SeaSpine launches spine implant system in US

Global medical technology SeaSpine has begun the limited commercial launch and completed initial surgeries using its implant system to treat adult spine deformities, the company said Sept. 7.

The Mariner adult deformity pedicle screw system includes specialized implant technologies to enhance surgeon workflow while reducing the number of surgical trays needed during surgery and lowering sterile processing costs.

The new system builds on the company’s Mariner pedicle screw system, which received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2018.
