SANUWAVE Health receives patent for electrode design: 4 highlights

Alpharetta, Ga.-based SANUWAVE Health received a U.S. patent called “Increase Electrode Life in Devices Used for Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy.”

Here are four highlights:

 

1. The patent has a patent life to July 2033.

 

2. The patent includes claims to the construction of the spark gap electrodes, which generate electrohydraulic shock waves.

 

3. The patent also protects the liquid mixture containing additives. The mixture allows active atoms to recombine during voltage discharge.

 

4. Providers can use the electrode design in shock wave applicators for orthopedic treatment, pain management and other fields.
