RWJ Hamilton implements MAKOplasty technology

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (N.J.) has implemented MAKOplasty technology at its Center for Orthopedic and Spine Health, according to a Times of Trenton report.

The technology allows the surgeon to map out the patient’s knee or hip before a partial or total replacement procedure, and it incorporates 3D imaging that helps guide the robotic arm for precision movements.

 

MAKOplasty has been used to perform more than 60,000 surgeries at 200 sites worldwide, according to the report.
