Providence Medical adds surface technology to DTRAX Line: 4 takeaways

Providence Medical Technology, a cervical spine technology developer based in Lafayette, Calif., designed the Cavux surface technology. This surface technology is an addition to the company’s DTRAX Cervical Cage implants.

1. The technology is intended to accelerate bone fusion during the healing process.

 

2. The Cavux produces micro-textures on titanium surfaces, which improves the fusion process.

 

3. Following cervical fusion procedures, micro- and nano-textures aid osteoblastic cell adhesion during early healing.

 

4. Providence will display this technology at the North American Spine Society meeting in Chicago.
