Paradigm is a surgical navigation system to assist surgeons with spine procedures by increasing implant accuracy and decreasing complications from surgery.

Currently, the system is in select operating rooms in a nonclinical capacity. Proprio is working under approval of the institutional review boards at participating health systems to capture both preoperative and intraoperative data to improve developments in the future, according to a March 2 news release shared with Becker’s.

Once the system earns FDA approval, the navigational capabilities will be utilized and aided by the data currently being collected.

The company hopes to receive approval during 2023, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
