The systems are made from medical-grade polyether ether ketone, otherwise known as PEEK, and coated with commercially pure titanium and hydroxyapatite. The dual coating is intended to increase durability, promote rapid bone formation and enhance fixation during biologic fusion.
The ShurFit ACIF 2C system is indicated for use in skeletally mature patients with degenerative disc disease of the cervical spine at one disc level. Also meant for skeletally mature patients, the ShurFit TLIF 2C and TPLIF 2C Interbody Fusion Devices are designed for use in intervertebral body spinal fusions.
