Posterior approach to sacroiliac joint fusion effective after 12 months: Study

Sacroiliac joint fusion with PainTEQ’s LinQ SI joint fixation system was found to have improved recovery after one year, according to a study from the devicemaker.

The study looked at 83 patients having a posterior SI joint fusion with the LinQ implant, according to a March 20 news release. The study found statistically significant improvement in visual analog scale sores. The mean improvement was 43.3 at 12 months compared to baseline.

The LinQ implant also showed a strong safety profile with five adverse events and no implant-related adverse events in the patients.
