OrtoWay’s OrtoWell Distractor tool now offered for spinal tumor, trauma surgery: 4 notes

Stockholm, Sweden-based OrtoWay AB expanded usage of its OrtoWell Distractor to spinal tumor removal and trauma surgery.

Here are four notes:

 

1. The OrtoWell Distractor fixates the vertebra in a way that allows safer and easier insertion of implants.

 

2. The system is hydraulically powered, preventing the collapse or movement of vertebrae during anterior surgery.

 

3. The OrtoWell Distractor is designed for disc prosthesis and ALIF cages.

 

4. The system has been approved in the United States and Europe.

 

“This new development is in line with our goal of making anterior-approach surgeries simpler and more accurate, which has the potential to enable better outcomes of such procedures,” said Stan Mikulowski, CEO, OrtoWay AB.
