Orthofix names president of global operations and quality

Aviva McPherron was named president of global operations and quality at Orthofix, the devicemaker said June 18.

She previously worked at Globus Medical as senior vice president of clinical services and integration before the company merged with NuVasive, according to a news release. Before that she worked at NuVasive where she held various leadership roles including chief transformation officer. Ms. McPherron also worked at technology and defense companies before joining NuVasive.

“Her experience and background will be an asset to our strong operations, clinical, regulatory and quality teams to help drive strategies that deliver operational efficiencies and gross margin improvements, both of which are critical to achieving the value of our merger,” Orthofix President and CEO Massimo Calafiore said in the release.
