Orthofix gets FDA clearance for 3D-printed TLIF spacer

The FDA gave 510(k) clearance for Orthofix’s Forza Ti TLIF spacer system.

The 3D-printed titanium device is used for transforaminal lumbar interbody fusions and has a porous surface to allow bone to grow into it, according to an April 22 news release.

Orthopedic spine surgeon Gary Rosenberg, DO, performed the first procedure with the spacer at Santa Ana, Calif.-based Orange County Global Medical Center.
